Derek MorkelDerek Morkel
Chief Executive Officer

Derek Morkel serves as Chief Executive Officer of GAFFEY Healthcare.  With more than 20 years of experience in both the health care and technology industries, Morkel leads the overall strategic direction of the company and oversees operations, growth strategy and financial performance.  Previously, Morkel served as Senior Vice President at MedCath Corporation, Operations CFO at IASIS Healthcare, CEO US Operations for Craneware, Hospital CFO at Province Healthcare (now Lifepoint), and Division Director Finance HCA.  Morkel earned a bachelor's degree from Stellenbosch University in Stellenbosch, South Africa and a master's degree in health care administration from Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey.


Scott MumfordScott Mumford
Chief Information Officer

Scott Mumford serves as Chief Information Officer at GAFFEY Healthcare. He is an accomplished and innovative technology professional with more than 20 years of healthcare IT experience. Previously, he served as Vice President of Operations at MEDHOST, Acting CIO at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Vermont, and Associate Partner in the CIO Advisory Group at IBM specializing in healthcare technology. Mumford earned degrees in Information Technology and Business Administration/Management from Weber State University in Ogden, UT. Originally from Northern Utah, Mumford has resided in Texas for the past 10 years.



Jennifer LeMieuxJennifer LeMieux
Chief Customer Officer

Jennifer is responsible for all technology enabled services provided to GAFFEY clients. In her prior role, LeMieux served as Senior Vice President, Strategic Accounts for Parallon, Revenue Cycle Point Solutions with a focus on broadening relationships and achieving incremental revenue across all product lines by working closely with operational and financial management at large, multi-facility hospitals and IDNs. LeMieux has almost 20 years of healthcare experience – in various technology and service areas -- with a bent for process improvement and project management, which was learned from her early days at McKinsey & Company. She is actively engaged in the local HIMSS chapter, holding two chair positions, as well as HFMA and is the founder of Elisha’s Chariots of Fire, a community organization for families with special needs children.
